This painting was done from a slide that was taken in the early 1960's. The girl on the right is my best friend, Lynn. As Lynn was preparing for her parent's 50th wedding anniversary, she asked me to scan some slides for her so she could transfer them to photographs. She wanted to create an album for her parents in honor of their anniversary. I just fell in love with this photo and got her permission to paint from it. I gave her mom the number one print, framed, for their anniversary. When she saw it she said, "Oh, I remember those swim trunks!" The twins (in blue and red) on the left wore the solids, while brother, Larry wore the stripes!
