The Reference photos for this painting were given to me by a photographer named Richard. The photo was taken on a trip he took to the east coast. I moved the men closer to the boats and did a little editing to simplify the compostiton. When my husband, Ken, saw the painting he said it looked like the men were telling eachother boat stories, thus the title: Dory Time.
